Sorellina's - Victoria's Little Sister Italian Restaurant in Rochester, MN

The sister restaurant to Victoria's Ristoraunte & Wine Bar, Sorellina's is the newest Italian restaurant in Rochester, MN. Chris and I decided to try it out after he had gotten off early from work. Sorellina's is conveniently located in the same parking lot as Apache Mall, but has it's own small parking area.

When we drove up we were able to see the open sliders onto their enclosed outdoor patio, one of their many seating options. They have indoor, outdoor, the enclosed patio, and their bar area.

I love the aesthetic. The white walls and tiles that mimic brick, with wood accents and marquee style signage truly is a modern rustic blend, and makes for a great place to impress for date night.

They even have a designated pizza oven area where you can watch the pizzas being made.

Their bar menu has some great cocktail options including some delicious mocktails including a N/A blood orange and jalepeno mule. Chris ended up ordering a Chardonnay out of Monterey, CA, and I ordered a coconut, pineapple and cinnamon mocktail.

When it came to food, the choice was a hard one. I couldn't decide whether to go for one of their specials, to try something off of the regular menu, whether to try something with one of my Italian favorites (original red sauce), or to mix it up.

We started with an appetizer of fried goat cheese which was served with habanero jam and strawberries topped with shredded basil and parmesan.

For the main course I ended up deciding on the Rosa Verde on the regular menu, but when the server came over and mentioned the specials there was a butternut squash ravioli version using the same sauce as the Rosa Verde, which is a creamy pesto mixed with chicken, spinach, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms, and I was sold. Chris ended up trying a Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Chicken Pizza.

The portions were large, so we ended up with leftovers for lunch the following day, but due to this we ended up with no room for dessert. Overall the experience was great, we will definitely return, and next time we will utilize their beautiful covered patio, and report back about dessert - I know I saw a tiramisu and a panna cotta that I'd love to try.

We are excited about this new addition to Rochester and another restaurant to share with all of you!
